I have a set of Klipsch promedia 5.1 speakers on my computer that are 14
months old. All of a sudden, yesterday when i listen to music all the
treble would cut out for a few seconds, then come back in. After a reboot
the treble when completely out, only hear bass, no sound from any of the
tweaters. Problem is now on and off, sometimes treble works, sometimes it
doesn't. All connections are good, didn't change anything. Just started
from nowhere. I did vaccume near the subwoffer, could that cause problems?
Any clues what could be causing this?

thanks

Sounds like a dry solder joint.
Knowing nothing at all about Klipsch speakers I would nonetheless just say
be logical, what's the common factor in the connectivity?

If by tweeters you mean small front and rear speakers that have their own
connection to the sound card, and all front and rear small speakers are
silent, then the sound card is the common factor.
If the tweeters producing treble are housed in a case with other speakers,
then its a crossover network - an electronic wizardry board that sorts sound
by frequency - housed in one of them, find it by following wires and give it
a kick!
